This is where answers to most frequently asked questions related to Turbo Pascal.

This is happens because of DOSBox. DOSBox is emulating tool which run 16-bit application on 32/64-bit OS. DOSBox specially design for gaming and only for keyboard interactions.

We used it run Turbo Pascal on 32/64-bit OS. So, you need to use Turbo Pascal Keyboard shortcuts. For menu you can use Alt+First later of menu item name.

For Example

1. For Run Menu → Alt+R
2. For Compile Menu → Alt+C

When menu is open you can use top-down arrow and enter key to select an option. You can find the list of all shortcuts of Turbo Pascal and DOSBox here.

If your keyboard is working properly with other programs, it's possible that the anti-keylogging feature in your antivirus software was blocking typing into DOSBox. Turn it off so that DOSBox can receive a keystroke command and pass it into Turbo Pascal because DOSBox uses keylogging to transfer your keystroke to Turbo Pascal.

You can disable the anti-keylogging feature while using Turbo Pascal and re-enable it when you're not using Turbo Pascal.
